All About Seahorses

All About Seahorses

Did you know that male seahorses give birth, not the females? Seahorses can have anywhere from five to 1,000 frys per birthing session, however, only about 0.5% will survive to reproduce. Despite their unique shape and lack of scales, seahorses are considered fish. Their armor-like plates and bony body composition make them difficult for fish to digest, resulting in the lack of many natural predators. The biggest threat to their species is humans, who harvest them faster than the seahorses can reproduce. Seahorses have been heavily traded as dried specimens for traditional Chinese medicine.

Printing Quiz

If your printer mentions font points, what they really mean is:

  • A tapered or sharp edge of an object.

  • The main issue at hand.

  • A unit to measure fonts. For example, one point = 1/72 inch.

When it comes to typography and design, fonts are measured by pt or points.
